Happy Halloween!

we took logan trick-or-treating with the family and some neighbors. he fell asleep two houses in but he woke up later on and saw a bit more of the action. chris and my brother really got into decorating our house this year. there were skull torches on the front lawn, spiders and cobwebs all over the place (i just loved those spiders!), creepy flying pumpkins, skeletons, a graveyard, and spooky halloween music. it looked great!

Legoland

ever since legoland opened a few years ago, chris and i couldn't wait to someday take our son there. we were so excited to take nathan there last year with chris and amanda. this year, we took logan! i only have a few days left of my maternity leave so chris took a few days off to spend time with logan and myself. my parents and nathan came too! we all had a good time. i love legoland, it's so clean and everyone is really nice. almost all of the visitors are parents with little ones.

Sea World

we took logan to sea world on saturday. probably shouldn't have considering i have my very last paper due monday for my master's program but hey, you only live once right? chris, amanda, nate, uncle pat and his girlfriend jen were all going. so what the heck, we went too! it turned out to be a very nice day in san diego. isn't it always. . . ahhh. . . i love that city! logan liked watching the killer whales and hanging out with his cousin of course. he took a nap and missed the penguins and polar bears. oh well, at least he took a nap!

We've Been "Boo'd"!

ok, last night around 11 pm, i'm sitting at the computer upstairs diligently working on my 60+ page paper (that's an entirely different story altogether) and the doorbell rings. hmm. chris is awake downstairs so he goes to the door, probably thinking it's our neighbors and hoping, like i was, that everything was ok with whoever it was that rang our bell. he opens the door and finds we've been "boo'd"! someone has doorbell ditched us and left us a "boo bag" of goodies. we received some really cute halloween dish towels and a super cute pumpkin cookie cutter. oh, and a snickers bar (which i already ate). there is a tradition in our neighborhood towards the end of october that we do this. after you receive a "boo bag" you have 2 days to deliver your own "boo bag" to 2 additional neighbors. by halloween, most of the neighbors have been "boo'd." it's a really cute tradition and i think i know who "boo'd" us!

He Rolled Over!

so i put logan down for a nap today on his tummy. about 20 minutes later when he decided to wake up, i went into the nursery to get him. he was on his back! he has been close to rolling over the past few days but he actually did it unassisted! i was so excited i called chris right away. too bad we both missed it. i actually noticed him on the monitor waking up and realized he had flipped over to his back. such a big boy!

this is how i found him
happy as can be
