caveney's visit

grandma and grandpa caveney visited us two weekends ago. it was so nice to see them again. logan loved all of the attention, all just for him. one of the days we spent showing them old town temecula. on saturday, we drove down to san diego and spent a day touring the u.s.s. midway. the last day, we did some shopping at the promenade, our mall, that has recently been updated. it was a great weekend! logan loved spending time with his grandma and grandpa!

father's day

today was chris' first father's day. he wanted a low key day so we hung out and ran some errands. here are a few pictures from our day. happy father's day honey! we've waited a long time to be able to say that. it sounds good, huh. logan and i are very thankful to have you in our lives. you are a wonderful "dada!" we love you!

happy 11 months logan

logan is 11 months today. he's so much fun these days! chris and i love spending every moment we can with him. i actually find myself saying that i miss him when he is asleep. . . and it's true! logan can stand up on his own and walks holding onto people or things. he prefers crawling since he's so very fast now. :) he loves to climb up our stairs, which makes mommy nervous.  if you've been to our house, you'll know there are many stairs and they are pretty steep! logan loves playing and will play with many toys for several minutes on his own. he makes car noises now which is so cute and rolls his cars on the hardwood floors. he's become very social and flashes that smile whenever anyone is watching. logan just figured out how to stick his tongue out (thanks aunt juju) and imitates everything he sees! i love it!  here are a few recent photos of our loges.

a day at the beach

last weekend, aunt juju and her chris came down for a visit.  we had a great time hanging out on saturday and went to the beach on sunday.  we all drove down to san diego and spent a few relaxing hours playing in the sand and surf at torrey pines state beach.  i love that beach.  it's right down the street from where chris and i lived for 6 years, in our apartment, a lifetime ago, near ucsd.  i love that beach.  so much in fact, chris and i stopped there the morning of our procedure at the fertility center.  the day logan came to be.  i was so nervous and needed to relax.  seeing and hearing the beautiful ocean always seems to help calm my nerves.  i sure do miss living close to the ocean.  but that's another posting for a different day.  :)
