It's beginning to feel a lot like Christmas

we got our christmas tree on thursday night. it was more of a spontaneous outing. after logan's doctor's appointment we stopped by chris and amanda's since it's on our way home. after a few minutes, amanda says, "hey, let's get our christmas trees!" ok. so we did! we checked out a local christmas tree farm first, but ended up at lowe's since they were less expensive. it was nice to get a tree without having to worry about planning it out first!

speaking of christmas. . . our street is really decked out in christmas lights this year! i mean, our street usually looks nice with lights but this year, our neighbors have all put up white and green christmas tree lights in the trees on the parking strips. it looks amazing! almost the entire street is lit up and has matching trees on the street. i'm so proud of our christmas spirit! i'm working on chris getting a picture that would capture it but i'm not sure it's possible.

we also checked out the temecula christmas electrical parade last night. it was more of an organized event than i anticipated! it started at 7 pm and lasted until 9 pm. chris, logan, and myself met chris, amanda, nathan, and emily down at the parade. more friends from work also joined in on the fun. logan was such a good boy and was very interested in the lights and sounds of the parade! he stayed awake the entire time and didn't cry once!

this was so cool! 3 jeeps up on each other's tires
santa also arrived today at the harveston lakehouse. chris, logan, and myself headed over to see what all of the commotion was about. there were arts and crafts, hula hooping on the lawn, card making, snacks, and santa of course. we waited in line for about 10 minutes, then decided it wasn't worth the wait with logan asleep. i didn't like the idea of him waking up to be handed over to a stranger. not good to set the kid up having a santa complex right? we'll try to see santa at the mall when logan is actually awake and can somewhat prepare himself.
